What Preparations Should You Make Before Installing a Pendant Lamp?

Pendant lights will help change the look of the room and add comfort. They come in various shapes and sizes, allowing you to choose the model according to your preferences. Replacing an old chandelier in the hanging lamp is the main objective of the arrangement of the house, with which even a novice can handle it. Changing the lighting can change the atmosphere of the room for a few minutes.

Preparations

1. Get the rubber lamp holder and E27 light globe from online stores or local shops.
2. Extract the lamp. Carefully lay out the items within reach.
3. Turn off the electricity. Locate the opening machine or a switch box and turn off the electricity in the room or the house, where you will install the lamp. Failure to do so before the work can entail risk of electric shock.
4. Remove the old lamp. If you do not set light to a new or renovated building, you will need to first remove the old chandelier. Disconnect the lamp. The procedure will depend on the kind of chandeliers. If possible, ask someone to hold the chandelier until you remove it from the ceiling, it will not drop. Disconnect the old connection. These are small plastic caps, overlapping the wiring from the lamp and internal wiring. Usually it is sufficient simply to bend counterclockwise to disengage. Before disconnecting the wires will not interfere to check the absence of voltage with a tester. Finally, disconnect the wires and remove all of the remaining elements of the old lamp, which is still attached to the ceiling.
5. Check the ceiling. The location should be structurally sound. The junction box must be attached to the lamp beam or other support, and not just screwed screws in drywall. Not enough light is securely attached may just fall. Among other things, this is a direct violation of building codes. 6. Check the junction box. Make sure that all screws are in place and securely fastened. If necessary, tighten the screws, but do not use excessive force.
